Christmas 2011

It's that time again for Santa Claus to visit. This year in our new house we went all out decorating and baking all kinds of desserts. This year Daddy got to fly in and spend it with us!

Christmas Eve me, Kayla, and Madison opened our traditional presents from Mom and Dad our PJS! We felt just like we were kids again Christmas Eve, we couldn't sleep and wanted to wake up early to open gifts! 

When Christmas morning came 7 am it was time to open gifts, we got everything we asked for and more. 

Even though we act like Christmas is all about buying and receiving gifts, parties, and food. It about the birth of Jesus Christ, we all seem to fall from the real meaning but this year I have keep the real meaning in my heart. I am lucky to have all my family together this year.

CHRISTmas 2011 was wonderful.  

1st Friends Christmas

This year is the first time in four years since I have dated Brad that we have made it to one of his "Friends Christmas". It was really interesting hearing stories of them growing up and all the things they have done. We had a nice supper at a local restaurant Jakes and played dirty santa. It is so amazing that they have been graduated for 5 years now, and they all keep in touch and do this Christmas event every year.

Emergency Department Christmas party

Last Friday night was the ER christmas party. It was wonderful from the food, open bar, center pieces, and a course the DESSERT BAR! I have such a great group I work with and it was very nice to be able to enjoy an evening with them.

We danced the Cupid Shuffle multiple times Im sure of! We also had our secret santa gift swap! I am so lucky to be part of an amazing group!

Christmas Time

December is FINALLY HERE! This time of year always seems to be magical and brings everybody together. In the Harbin household we spent a whole weekend decorating, baking, and a course drinking hot chocolate!

This is our first christmas in our new house so we are so excited to be able to decorate! 

After a full day of hot glueing, spray painting, and Dad twisting up vines we found in the woods we made our own wreath! It turned out so good! 

Finished work! Now I just have to find time to start Christmas shopping so I can wrap gifts! 

Nursing School stress

As the weekend is ending I think to myself, "how am I going to do this?". I am entering the most stressful week of the semester and I just realized I just might not be ready. 1 Unit test, a Head to Toe Check off, and 2 Finals all within four days! WOW!! Then I start to think of that faith that has been with me all semester and has keep me going is still there. I just can not let a little bit of school work bring me down! I have said a little prayer that I have said numerous times within the past 15 weeks, and I know I will overcome this tension and pass this semester.
